Breast Cancer – The Facts
Breast cancer is the major cause of cancer death in Australian women accounting for more than 11,700 new cases of breast cancer and 2,600 deaths each year
More than 2,640 women will die from the disease in a single year – making it the leading cause of cancer-related death in females.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85.
Remember that early detection and diagnosis significantly increases your chance of survival. Be sure to take the time over the holiday season to undertake a breast self-examination - for you and your loved ones.
