Pump System

Quality is the key.

You get what you pay for.

Products that meet Australian quality and safety standards may cost a little more, but they’ll save you time, money and your reputation.

In fact, cheap imported refrigeration, aircon or HVAC products often fail to meet even the most basic quality and safety standards, and when things go wrong it can turn into a nasty and expensive shock. They often look identical to reliable brand name items, but if they don’t meet basic Australian standards, you may be liable if things go wrong (that’s liable as in your insurance company won’t pay, you’ll have to).

We’re a major supplier to the HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration industries, and we supply a big range of products, some from overseas. But we make sure they’re all up to scratch. We don’t rely on other people testing them. We do it ourselves.

In-House Product Testing Facility

We test everything we sell, even products that conform to Australian standards. Here’s what we do:

  • Test to ensure products comply with Australian standards.
  • Chemically analyse as well as conduct accelerated time and usage tests.
  • Test consistency of material content and dimensions.
  • Develop audits to be carried out on products before they leave the factory and also once they arrive at Reece.

Testing protects you, your customers and the reputation of your industry. But there’s another safety net.

Reece Customer Care

Our testing is tough. But even so, issues can arise once a product’s installed and operating. If there’s ever an issue, our after-sales program, Reece Customer Care, will do everything possible to fix the situation.

Goes to show, where you buy can be just as important as what you buy.

Case study - Cheap, but not cheerful.

Frank was pleased as punch when he got a job upgrading the refrigeration in a big meat processing plant. He was even happier when he found some imported compressors at an incredibly good price. But like they say, if things can go wrong, they will go wrong. And within six months all three compressors failed. So Frank not only had to fork out for new compressors that did meet the Australian standard, he also had to pay for thousands of dollars worth of spoiled meat. All as a result of saving a few hundred bucks. This job nearly put him out of business. “I know there’s cheaper stuff out there, but it just isn’t worth the risk,” he says.
