NSW rebates on dual flush toilets

No-one appreciates a good bit of toilet humour like a plumber, but this latest one about the NSW rebate for installing dual flush toilets is no joke.
It’s flushing fantastic!

From now until 30 June 2011, the NSW government will offer a $200 rebate for replacing a single flush toilet suite with a dual flush toilet suite with at least a 4 star rating for both cistern and pan.

This latest initiative is part of the newly revised NSW Home Saver Rebates and is great news for plumbers, customers and the environment.

Dual flush toilets installed to comply with the Building Sustainability Index for new homes and major renovations are not eligible for a rebate. (Visit www.basix.com.au for further information).

More information on dual flush toilets rebates are available at www.environment.nsw.gov.au/rebates or by calling the Environment Line on 1300 361 967.

NB. The total amount of NSW Home Saver Rebates a household can receive must not exceed $1500 per property.

The NSW Government is offering more than just rebates for Dual Flush Toilets.

The new $175 million NSW Home Saver Rebates includes:

  • $300 to replace an electric hot water system with climate friendly solar, heat pump and 5 star gas hot water systems
  • Up to $1500 for rainwater tanks that are connected to a washing machine and toilet
  • $150 for a 5 star water efficient washing machine (to June 30, 2010)
  • $35 to have your old second working fridge taken away (see www.fridgebuyback.com.au)
  • $150 for installing a hot water circulator unit for instantaneous gas hot water heaters
