Long-term friends and thriving entrepreneurs Three Birds Renovations are a powerhouse trio taking the renovation world by storm. Partnering with Reece for their House 9 project, the birds took on a 60s style renovation upgrading the tired house to create an inspiring, welcoming home.
An understated house without any endearing features that was cramped and lacking in life. The team needed to create new, more suitable locations for the main bathroom and ensuite, and find ways to inject charm into the space.
To bring charm and beauty to the space using colour, incorporating an eclectic combination of Art Deco, modern French provincial details, and pops of luxe glam.
The team created a sense of space in the bathroom by crafting a wet zone for the shower. This opened the bathroom up and allows the shower to shine as a design feature.
By mixing and matching tiles and accessories, the Birds created a bathroom with its own special charm and wow-factor.
"You can never plan too much! Make sure you have a clear vision board right from the start, this will set the tone for the whole design. Don’t be afraid to make bold choices and mix things up – you don’t have to match tapware through the home as long as it fits within that room and with your overall vision.” – Three Birds Renovations.
"Nail your layout by spending time mapping out all your fixtures and checking
you have given them enough space to be practical and
beautiful.
Speak to your tiler up front about what tiles you
have in mind to guarantee you get the right floor heights and fall to ensure
your wet area drains well." – Three Birds Renovations
