A Modern Australian Escape: Inside Bec Judd's Arthurs Seat Transformation

Renowned for her impeccable taste and eye for design, media personality Bec Judd has once again partnered with Reece Bathrooms and for the first time, Reece Irrigation and Pools, to create a stunning country retreat in Arthurs Seat, Victoria. We’ve partnered with Bec for the past decade, we’re always in love with the balance she strikes with luxurious textures and functionality and we’re so excited to take you through her latest project.

Bec’s aim was to transform this existing home into a luxurious coastal retreat, perfect for entertaining guests and relaxing with her busy family of six, all in time for the Christmas and summer holidays. By working with the existing floorplan, teaming with excellent trades and incorporating strategic design elements she was able to achieve a stunning transformation without major delays to finish the project ahead of schedule! Let’s take a closer look at the three key areas to a home; the kitchen, bathrooms and outdoor area and what makes these spaces special.

The Bathrooms

The project boasts a main ensuite as Bec’s personal oasis and main bathroom to be shared amongst the four kids. Creating the ultimate luxurious country retreat was marked a necessity as Bec acknowledges ‘The main ensuite is the most used space in the house’. Bec takes the bathrooms to the next level by maximising natural light, incorporating a mix of luxurious Australian made finishes, neutral colour palettes and plenty of texture and detail. The bespoke ISSY Adorn Vanity, handcrafted in Melbourne, sets the tone for relaxation. With Bec stating “I've gone for the Grace Handle with the Carrara Marble Insert, and I just love the narrow shaker profile. It is just another level of elegance." Paired with the stunning Milli Oria Cross Tapware in brushed gunmetal, crafted from recycled brass, complements the vanity perfectly, while the LAUFEN Sonar Above Counter Basins with texture adds to the tactility and mix of luxury materials and textures.

The Kitchen

The heart of the home, the kitchen, is a masterpiece of design and functionality. The Sussex Scala Sink Mixer in LUX PVD Brushed Smoked Gunmetal, crafted from recycled brass, takes center stage. Paired with the sleek and durable Memo Zenna Sink, this kitchen is a haven for both culinary enthusiasts and busy families with the signature Bec flair from the statement benchtop to bring a unique take to the Modern Australian kitchen.

The Outdoor Area

The outdoor area, a true extension of the home, is designed for both relaxation and entertainment. Featuring stunning native plants and the beautiful, round plunge pool, they’ve embraced the Australian country landscape of where the property is situated. This stunning pool is enhanced by Theralux Essential Earth Minerals and the Quantum Purity. Together this dynamic duo creates a luxurious and rejuvenating swimming experience. It's the perfect place for the Judd family to unwind and soak up the beauty of their surroundings.
