Take a tour of this evocative and beautiful custom built home.
When it comes to breathtaking modern residential architecture, there’s no doubt Australian designers are making their mark on a global scale. We’re taking a look inside Webster Architecture and Interiors and Mazzei's recent Dendy Street project in Brighton East, Victoria, which boasts incredible design and the latest in technology throughout.
The 500 square metre family home is classic, stylish and considerably designed, with four bedrooms – each with their own ensuite. This project executes a cohesive colour and texture palette throughout, with swathes of natural light emphasizing eyecatching detail and overall the sophisticated design choices the team has made.
"The success of your new home begins with the choices you make during the design phase."
The immersive master ensuite is an indulgent space, with the eyecatching Kado Lussi Freestanding Bath first drawing the eye and setting the scene as a space for relaxation. Balancing form and function, the double shower accommodates a variety of needs with both overhead and hand-held showers.
When it comes to the room’s colour palette, grey accents throughout create a bold impact of both black and white. The perfect addition to the moody, sophisticated colour palette, Milli Pure wall-mounted taps, a floor-mounted outlet by the bath and the heated towel rail in rich gunmetal feature, as well as the sleek gunmetal Geberit Sigma flush buttons for full colour cohesion.
Each of the property’s three ensuites is well proportioned and uniquely configured, but what brings them all together is the excellent execution of colour. By combining colour, texture and light, these bathrooms have their own character and charm.
You might think you need to stick to one tap colour throughout the whole home, but Hard Graphite is introduced to great effect alongside the gunmetal in the ensuite. The wall-mounted taps from GROHE sit like jewels on the large mirrors, changing appearance in differing light.
This powder room proves that space doesn’t need to be a factor when designing something excellent. The room is perfectly functional in a unique design, with delightful experimentation coming through in pairing the Alape freestanding washstand with the ISSY Z1 mirror cabinet.
The decision to pair tiling with wooden paneling is a knockout, evoking the moodiest of Scandi-sauna living. This room demonstrates that clever design and striking products can create character and mood in even the smallest of spaces.
