This stunning new build is the twins’ biggest project yet, a one-of-a-kind luxurious architectural home in Paradise Point, Queensland. Spanning across two adjoining blocks, with 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, dreamy high ceilings, two living areas, a theatre, cellar, and pool! The twins made sure attention to detail and high-quality design was evident in every room. Each episode, we were blown away with the incredible room reveals.
Wondering how you can bring luxury to your next project? Here are three tips we learnt from watching Alisa and Lysandra’s Design Duo Series: Paradise Point.
One of the stand-out rooms of the house was the main ensuite. A stunning space with luxe marble, brushed gold and dark timber finishes and a feature kit kat tile in the twin shower. Whilst the quality finishes made the space a visual masterpiece, it’s the functional elements of this space that truly take it to the next level. An ensuite perfectly built for two, with a large twin vanity featuring LAUFEN Pro S Undercounter Basin and the Scala Wall Mount Sink Mixers in Brushed Gold to maximise bench space and easy cleaning. A floor plan to optimise flow and space in the bathroom, with the beautiful Kado Lussi Freestanding Bath on display through the bedroom door, a tucked away twin shower, and an enclosed toilet maintaining privacy when you’re both in need of the bathroom.
With the main bedroom wing matching the sophisticated deep timber and gold tones of the rest of the house, Alis and Lysandra have had fun with the rest of the ensuites. Ensuites are the perfect place in the design process to let your design personality shine and reach out of your comfort zone. As you can see, each of the children’s ensuites have their own character, achieved by colourful feature tiles and unique vanities such as the ISSY Halo and Kado Lux vanities and statement Scala tapware. Yet, each room still feels cohesive and will stand the test of time as the family grows, by using the Scala tapware collection, Roca Above Counter Round Basins, the Kado freestanding bath and rounded mirrors.
They say tapware is the jewellery of the home and this is evident in the Paradise Point residence. A statement tap like the Scala Gooseneck Pullout Sink Mixer in Brushed Gold chosen by Alisa and Lysandra is the perfect example of this. Complimenting the tap with matching fixtures and brushed gold frame around the kitchen bench, makes this kitchen pop. For your next renovation think about how you can incorporate a range of textures and finishes into your home. We recommend making a Moodboard to help visualise how your finishes work together. Take inspiration from the twins and go for deep tones, marble, and luxe brushed gold finishes.
