1949: Founding
Engineer Edwin Rothenberger founded the company on 24 May 1949, in Frankfurt, Germany. From the beginning Rothenberger plumbing tools were focussed on one thing – connecting pipes.
1967: Initial breakthrough
Rothenberger launched the world-famous R-system at an international trade fair in Adelaide. The renowned Rothenberger pipe tools, the R-system, are tools for expanding, contracting and bending pipes without fittings or soldering, saving time and materials.
1974: Second generation
The second generation of the Rothenberger family take over management, and the company continues to grow throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
2001: Global excellence
