WFS carbon block cartridges are highly effective at reducing unwanted tastes and odours, including those from chlorine and organic matter in potable drinking water. The carbon block filter cartridge is manufactured from powdered carbon compressed and molded into a uniform block. The manufacturing process and formulae enables carbon blocks to be made in different porosities and have additives used for specific contaminant removal. WFS carbon block cartridges are available to reduce giardia, cryptosporidium cysts, heavy metals, scale and fine sediment particles down to 0.5 microns.
